Tivoli High School student drowns at Waterfront

The body of 12-year-old Karif Mitchenere, a student of the Tivoli Gardens High School, was removed from the Kingston Harbour on Wednesday afternoon.

The STAR understands the teen was reported missing on Tuesday after he did not make it home after school.

Police investigations revealed the teen got into difficulties yesterday while swimming with two other boys after school. 

Several members of his family were emotionally distraught on the scenes.
