15-y-o students found with illegal firearms
Two 15-year-old students from a school in the St Catherine South Police Division, were taken into custody on Sunday after being found with several illegal firearms.
The STAR understands they were among a group of four when they were arrested, and are believed to be part of a criminal organisation.
It is reported that about 1:00 a.m., lawmen received information that the group was travelling along the Old Harbour Bay main road in St Catherine in a white Toyota Probox motorcar.
The team on patrol in the area saw and intercepted the vehicle. A search was done and three pistols with loaded magazines affixed were discovered.
The occupants of the vehicle were accosted and transported to the station when it was discovered that two of the males, who were aboard, were 15-year-old students.
All four persons were charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, and being a part of a criminal organisation.
The other two occupants of the vehicle have been identified as:
1. Thirty-three-year-old Sheena Price a businesswoman of New Harbour Village, Old Harbour, St Catherine.
2. Twenty-seven-year-old Kemar Bent a fisherman of Old Market, Old Harbour Bay, St Catherine.
Their court dates are being finalised
