Police seize illegal firearm, ammunition in Olympic Gardens

An illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition were seized by the police on Valentine's Day during an operation in Olympic Gardens, Kingston 11. 

According to the Olympic Gardens Police, a team of officers was on operation along Wint Road when they conducted a search of a premise sometime after 4:00 p.m.

During the search, one Glock nine milli-metre pistol, fitted with a magazine containing five rounds was found at the rear of the premises under a sheet of zinc.

The weapon was subsequently retrieved; however, no one was arrested in connection with the seizure. The investigations are ongoing
