Clarendon man allegedly chops cousin to death

The police in Clarks Town, Clarendon have arrested and charged 60-year-old Roy Rose, otherwise called ‘Mafia’, after he allegedly chopped his cousin on Monday. 

Dead is 59-year-old William Jenkins, a farmer of Sherwood district, Clarks Town, Trelawny, to death at his home on Sunday, February 18.

It is reported that about 2:00 a.m., Rose went to Jenkins’ and entered his room, where he used a machete to inflict wounds to his head.

The police were alerted, and upon their arrival, Jenkins was seen on a bed in a pool of blood. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Rose later turned himself in to the police; he was subsequently charged with murder. His court date is being finalised.
