Police charge Trelawny man who withheld murder details

The police in Trelawny have charged Timoy ‘Big Head’ Brown, after he admitted to withholding information relating to the August 2023 murder of a 15-year-old girl. 

Brown has been charged with misprision of a felony.

On August 6, 2023, about 1:00 a.m., 15-year-old Jamalia Cole, her mother and two other relatives were at home when assailants entered their home. The culprit/s then inflicted several wounds on three of the four occupants; an eight-year-old escaped injuries.

The victims were taken to hospital, where Cole later died. Her mother and the other teen were hospitalised.

Following investigations, police acting on information, apprehended Brown on Monday, February 12, where he admitted to having knowledge of the murder. He was later charged on Monday, February 19 and is awaiting a court date.
