‘Cabi’ charged with murder

Twenty-one-year-old Trevon Lambert, more commonly known as ‘Cabi’, has been arrested and charged with murder, the police have confirmed. 

According to the police, Lambert was among a group of men who reportedly shot and killed 24-year-old Mark Ffrench in the East Road community in Kingston 12 on January 31. 

He has also been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition and making use of a firearm to commit a felony.

It is reported that about 10:45 p.m., Ffrench was in the area when he was approached by Lambert along with other men, all were with firearms.

The gunmen then opened fire at the Ffrench hitting him several times. The Police were alerted and on their arrival, Ffrench was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation was launched and Lambert was apprehended on Monday, February 19 and was subsequently charged.

His court date is being finalised and his accomplices are currently being sought by the police.
