'Bad Fowl', young woman arrested one day after burn victim Alicia King returns home
Approximately one day after burn victim Alicia King returned to Jamaica after several successful treatments in the US, the man accused of dousing her with gasolene before setting her ablaze last year has been arrested.
The 18-year-old Antwone 'Bad Fowl' Grey, was arrested alongside a young woman accused of harbouring him in her home, in Central Village, St Catherine about 1:40 p.m on Wednesday.
“We just caught the criminal that burned up the 17-year-old girl. It was a coordinated effort between St Andrew South, Linstead, and Central Village Police Station, all came together [and] teamed up for this effort,” sources informed The STAR.
The arrests come after King endured six gruelling months of intensive life-saving treatments at Shriners Burn Centre in Texas. Despite the situation, she returned home with a smile.
"I truly would like to thank the Sanmerna Association for believing in me, and reaching out to me to give me that victory. Right now, I am giving praises to God and to Shriners Hospital, who literally fixed my whole body," she said.
