Security guard charged for stealing over $900k

A Clarendon security guard has been taken into police custody after being implicated in the robbery of over $900,000 from his boss' office over a two-month period. 

It is reported the series of events that occurred between December 2023 – February 26, 2024.

According to the police, Darren Blake, 21, was seen coming from his director’s office, which he was not permitted to be in. He was searched and the director’s keys were found in his possession.

The police were summoned and Blake admitted that he stole a total $930,000 over the aforementioned period of time.

He was arrested and charged with house breaking and larceny and simple larceny. His court date is being finalised.
