SADCo unveils plans to improve St Ann attractions

The St Ann Development Company Limited (SADCo) is looking to help entities under its management to implement strategies to better market their attractions.

The strategies being undertaken includes the introduction of new products and services to enhance the guest experience at Dunn's River Falls and Park, where a food and beverage night will be introduced alongside all-terrain vehicle and bike experiences.

These efforts are anticipated to be strengthened through the implementation of a robust training programme, employment of competent staff, and the continued recovery of the tourism industry.

SADCo' plans were outlined in the Jamaica Public Bodies Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure for the year ending March 2025.

Other activities to be explored are the review and amendment of the Event Management Standard Operating Procedures to facilitate cohesiveness with the Urban Development Corporation (UDC).

SADCo, which was incorporated in 1967, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the UDC. Its primary responsibility entails managing the operations and properties owned by the corporation in St Ann.

The other attractions to benefit are Green Grotto Caves, Turtle River Park, Pearly Beach, Ocho Rios Bay Beach, Roaring River, Laughing Waters, the craft markets, and undeveloped lands in surrounding communities.
