Father fatally shot outside school in Manchester

A shooting unfolded in Christiana, Manchester this morning leaving a father, who is a taxi driver, dead while he was in the process of dropping off children at a school.

The victim, identified as Jerome, was delivering students to the Christiana Moravian Primary and Infant School when he was gunned down around 8:45.

According to eyewitnesses, a motor vehicle drove pass and fired multiple shots, fatally striking Jerome as he held his own child in his arms.

The child was not hurt.

A parent got a shot in her arm and was transported to hospital for treatment.

Several individuals at the scene expressed disbelief that the incident happened in front of children.

The police were called to the scene.
