Teen boys charged amid sexual assault video granted bail

The six teen boys seen in a video sexually assaulting a schoolgirl were each granted bail in the sum of $400,000 when they appeared in the St Catherine Family Court on Monday.

They are answering to the charges of rape, forcible abduction, knowing and producing child pornography and distributing child pornography.

Allegations are that the girl was lured to a premises in Portmore, St Catherine where she was assaulted by the boys.

A report was made to the police's Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse.

The teens were held by the police and were formally  charged following  an  identification  parade where they were positively  identified.
