Ganja found in fishing vessel
A team of officers assigned to the Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division seized 1,800 pounds of compressed ganja following an operation in Port Morant, South Bowden Wharf, St Thomas, last Thursday.
Reports from the Morant Bay police are that about 11:30 p.m., members of the Jamaica Defence Force, acting on information, carried out an operation which led to the interception of a fishing vessel. The police were summoned and on their arrival, a search was conducted of the vessel, where several bags containing parcels of vegetable matter resembling ganja were seized.
