'Tea Pot' fatally shot by police in St Elizabeth

Jamar Stephens, also called 'Tea Pot' was fatally shot by the police in St Elizabeth on Wednesday.

Lawmen from the parish were reportedly carrying out operational activities when they went to a premises in the Luana Housing Scheme.

They say during a confrontation, Stephens was shot and injured.

He was rushed to the Black River hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The police say they seized a black Armscor Revolver containing three cartridges from the scene.

The Independent Commission of Investigations is probing the matter.
