Westmoreland woman missing for over two months

Where is Kerry-Ann Grant? The Cave district, Westmoreland woman disappeared without a trace on December 9, 2024 and her loved ones are seeking the public's assistance in locating her.

Speaking with THE STAR on Wednesday, her mother, Donna, said this behaviour is unlike her daughter, who was suffering from mild depression.

"I really just don't know what to do or where to look. No one has seen her, not even in the parish. I am really worried about her. After she lose her job, she start suffer from depression, but she was on medication. Sometimes she didn't want to take it, but I always make sure she get it, even if it's to put it in her food. I just don't know what happen to my daughter. She didn't leave with the medication, because it is at home. It has been over two months and we just don't know what happen," she said.

Grant, 34, is of light complexion and slim build. Her mode of dress at the time that she disappeared is unknown, but her mother said the last time she saw her, she was wearing a blue dress.

"We saw her about 6 p.m. on the Monday in the yard that we live, and Tuesday we prepare her breakfast and leave it on the table. My brother look in the room and don't see her in there, so him call mi right away and tell mi that him nuh see her. Normally, by 9 o'clock she woulda wake and come out of her room to eat. Mi deh home the day a wait on her to come home, but all now she nuh come," she said.

A missing person's report was filed on December 11 at the Bluefields Police Station in the parish.

Donna described Grant as soft-spoken and "reserved", and emphasised that she was not the type to abandoned her family.

"Kerry-Ann never do anything like this before, enuh. If she go on the road, she gonna come back. She is a very reserved and quiet girl. She very polite and will interact with you once you start a conversation. As far as I know she don't have a boyfriend, either. ... I am asking anyone who see or know where she is to contact the nearest police. We are worried," Donna said.
