22-y-o man turns himself in for allegedly raping a woman in Hanover
A bike taxi operator is scheduled to appear in the Hanover Parish Court on Tuesday to answer to the charge of allegedly raping a woman in York Hill district in the parish.
Charged is twenty-two-year-old Clifton Brissett, otherwise known as 'Pancho', of Salt Spring, Green Island.
Reports from the Lucea Police are that at about 3:30 p.m., a woman was walking along the roadway when Brissett allegedly approached her.
He reportedly pulled her into bushes, and sexually assaulted her.
A report was made to the police, and an investigation was launched into the matter.
On Wednesday, May 7, Brissett turned himself in to the police. He was charged on Friday, May 16, after he was pointed out on an identification parade.
