Ronaldino Amoy Legore is a youth on a mission. The 17-year-old Old Harbour High School student, who is named after the famous Brazilian footballer, has his sights set on conquering the world of rugby.

The school programme, which is now in its second year, was enticing enough to lure Legor from football. Of course, that meant disappointing his parents, father Omar Legore and mother Tenika Newman, who he said are big fans of Brazil's football team.

"I chose rugby because it is new and I am already familiar with football, plus I love to try new things," he said.

Legore said that it is not easy chasing his rugby dreams, while balancing his academics. He is determined to get good grades while at the same time improve his game.

"It keeps the body in shape and being involved in sports is a confidence booster, plus down the road it can prove a plus for my future," he shared.

Looking ahead, Legore, who resides in Longville Park, Clarendon, said his ultimate goal is to be a professional rugby player and the world's greatest entrepreneur.
