As the debate continues over whether or not this year's Diamond Miler winner SHE'S A MANEATER should retire from the sport, trainer of the five-year-old mare Wayne DaCosta said he and horse's owner Ian Kong will be meeting very soon to decide on her future.

SHE'S A MANEATER, who is rated as one of the best horses ever to compete in Jamaica, produced scintillating performance to capture the Diamond Mile last Saturday in a new stakes record of 1:35.1 seconds at Caymanas Park. It was daCosta's fourth Diamond Mile victory in the fifth running of the event.

"I am not quite sure if she will be back because the owner and I will have to sit down talk about it very soon," said DaCosta.

"In fact he (owner) didn't even want to race her this year because he thinks she has done enough and he wanted to send her to farm and so we will talk soon and by end of the year we will make a decision," he said.

The super-talented SHE'S A MANEATER won her third straight Superstakes race last month after outclassing her rivals.

DaCosta, a 18-time champion trainer, pointed out that he would to her to return to racing next season.

"Her last five runs were fantastic because she has look unbeatable," DaCosta said.

"Sure, I like to see her back because another year would be great for her. She is in the best time of her life now and she can surely add enjoyment to me and her owner between now and next year," he said.

DaCosta pointed out that he has conditioned a lot of talented horses including the likes of THORNBIRD, WAR ZONE, SEEKING MY DREAM and MR SENSATIONAL but he stated that the SHE'S MANEATER is the best of the lot.

"She is far the best horse I have ever trained. She is by far the most talented horse on any given day," said DaCosta

She has won between 5 1/2 and 12 furlongs and she has won almost every race that the racing calendar has to offer and so I don't think anybody at this stage can asked anymore of her," he said.
