Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) general secretary Dalton Wint says former Reggae Girlz head coach Hue Menzies will receive money owed to him by the body shortly.

Menzies, who led the Reggae Girlz to a historic 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup qualification, quit the position last month after a lengthy dispute with the JFF over unpaid salaries and reimbursements.

Wint told STAR Sports that the veteran coach has been owed six months salary.

"Mr Menzies is owed a part of his salary and we are making sure that we are putting plans in place for that to be completed in the near future," Wint said.

"We have indicated this to him and it is best for people not to keep on promising, but to deliver on their promise, and we will certainly deliver on this promise."

Wint declined to mention the exact sum owed to Menzies.

"I don't want to put that on the record because it is a personal thing and I don't think that is the right thing to do in fairness to Menzies," he said.

"People have developed their own negative views of the JFF and we want to keep that at a minimal, and from our part, we want to do all that the things that is positive towards the programme and paying Menzies the money that is owed to him is a positive step for us.

"We are grateful for the contribution that he has made to the development of our females and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours."

When contacted for a response to the issue, calls to Menzies' phone went unanswered.
