Reggae Girls assistant coach Andrew Pryce says the team will be going all out and leaving everything on the field today against Mexico when the two sides meet in Group 'B' of the 2020 Concacaf Women's Olympic Qualifying Championship at HEB Park in Edinburg, Texas.

Pryce told STAR Sports that the team is in good spirits and was buoyed by the arrival of World Cup members Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw and Alison Swaby, who joined the camp on Monday.

"The team is ready to go and we are eagerly awaiting the Central American powerhouse Mexico. We have prepared well and have worked on several tactical things and it's just for us to execute the type of game we know we can play," said Pryce.

Wednesday's encounter will see the sides meeting for the second time in Women's Olympic Qualifiers, with Mexico taking the first meeting, 8-1, in 2004.

Ready to play

Pryce added that the team is better equipped to face the Mexicans following a successful pre-tournament camp in Houston.

"We did a lot of work in the camp in Houston and the team has gelled very well, and we should give a good account of ourselves based on that. One thing we will be mindful of is that we will be respectful of the Mexicans, but we are also going to show that we are here to play and compete," Pryce said.

The Jamaicans will also be banking on the services of Europe-based player midfielder Havana Solaun, as well as attacking players Cheyna Matthews and Trudi Carter, with the defensive line marshalled by Konya Plummer. Young goalkeeper Sydney Schneider is also expected to start between the sticks.

The Jamaicans will want to keep an eye out for Mexico's forward Renae Cuellar, midfielder Stephany Mayor and defender Kenti Robles.

Jamaica will be participating for the third time in Women's Olympic Qualifying while this will be Mexico's fifth appearance.

Match time is 8 p.m. Jamaica time.
