President of the Bull Bay football club, Paul Hibbert, says despite their training facility being under lockdown at this time, none of his players are in quarantine. Last week, the Government ramped up measures to stem the spread of the coronavirus in the area and Prime Minister Andrew Holness declared last Friday that communities in Seven Miles and Eight Miles, Bull Bay, bordering St Andrew and St Thomas will become a quarantine zone for 14 days. This has restricted movement in these areas.

Bull Bay FC currently play in the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association's Major League, which was suspended last week due to the outbreak of the virus. Hibbert, who lives in Eight Miles, told STAR Sports that all of the club's players currently live outside the quarantine areas and, therefore, they are all doing well.

"I don't have any players right now who are in the Seven and Eight Miles areas because most of them are in the Nine Miles and Ten Miles areas," said Hibbert. "Since last week Wednesday, we have shut down our training when we heard that the league was suspended and we told everybody to stay away until we know what the authorities are doing," he said.

Following the guidelines

"I am in the quarantine area but I was fortunate enough to go to the supermarket before they announced that this area will be under quarantine and so I am just following the guidelines that have been sent by the Government," Hibbert said.

He underlined that he has not been tested for the virus and he has been adhering to the daily bulletins been sent out by the authorities. "I am just staying indoors and not having contact with anyone and so I am just communicating via Watsapp until the 14 days up. I just have to listen to what the authorities are saying," Hibbert said.
