PHILIP Feanny's course specialist, SALVATION, yesterday capitalised on her mid-track draw and 14lb advantage to outfinish topweight TREVOR'S CHOICE in the Charles Hussey Trophy at five furlongs straight.

Always within striking distance of early leader, CAPTUREMYSHIP, SALVATION produced a late spurt midway the last half-furlong to go by TREVOR'S CHOICE, who had taken over two furlongs out.

Though hitting the front with Shane Ellis, TREVOR'S CHOICE started lugging towards the inner rail under the big weight whereas SALVATION kept straight on the faster stands' side to score a three-quarter length victory under Oneil Mullings at odds of 8-1.

The grey speedster completed back-to-back victories at five furlongs straight, her fourth at the trip, stopping the clock in 58.2 on a track made fast by overnight rains.

Ellis' narrow loss aboard TREVOR'S CHOICE cost him a four-timer on the nine-race card.

Hot off a Jamaica St Leger victory aboard Gary Subratie's CALCULUS last Saturday, Ellis opened the programme astride HECANDANCE before enjoying a mile stroll with DRONE STRIKE, who was entered for half his million-dollar claim and plundered the purse in the third event for $550,000 claimers.

Ellis' third winner was a vastly improved TRUE AL SKY, who surprised her peers at odds of 7-1 in the sixth for fillies only, running the rail to cruise past BADGYALRIRI on the home turn, clocking an impressive 1:26.2 for seven furlongs, albeit on a fast track.

Jason DaCosta's, four-year-old filly, MAKEUP ARTIST also posted a flashy time to remain unbeaten in four starts, booking her ticket to overnight allowance company in a time of 1:18.4 at six and a half furlongs.

Racing continues on Saturday.
