Harbour View’s Daley standing up

Christojaye Daley continued his quest for his first major honour in local football with a quality display in Harbour View's Jamaica Premier League (JPL) second-leg quarter-final on Monday.
The former William Knibb top player opened the scoring for Harbour View after 10 minutes, stabbing home at the back post Odorland Harding's cross.
Then when Humble Lion rallied to level the tie 3-3 on aggregate, the stocky playmaker assisted captain Ryan Wellington from a corner for the winner with 12 minutes to spare, which provided Harbour View with the winner after they had won the first leg 3-0.
The young attacker admitted he was dumbstruck by Humble Lion's resurgence, which needed Harbour View to refocus; however, he believes playing too many games close to each other impacted their performance.
"I don't know what happened. I really don't know what went wrong, but they scored three goals on us, and we had to regroup and go again, but we have been playing consistent back-to-back games with little amount of rest, and I think that was a major factor in our performance," he pointed out.
The 20-year-old is involved in his first JPL play-offs and is impressed with the atmosphere and the level of intensity. He also promises that there is a lot more to come from him.
"It is the first time I am playing in an atmosphere like this since growing up in Jamaica, and it is a wonderful feeling to reach the semi-finals.
"The reason for my performances is my mindset and composure. I think I have the right composure in front of goal. So it is easy for me," he continued.
Harbour View will play Cavalier in the semi-finals, and although Daley expects a close encounter, he is confident they can go all the way.
"It's going to be a really good game. We are not scared or anything. We are just going to go out and get the job done. I am very confident, as we are the champions," he stated.
