St Hugh’s High School remain perfect in ISSA netball

ST HUGH'S HIGH School teams remained perfect in the ISSA urban netball competitions on Monday as the Nardia Hanson-coached junior and senior line-ups made it two wins from two matches in Zone D.

Playing away to Convent of Mercy (Alpha) the Cross Roads-based St Hugh's were too good for their opponents. Led by good all-round plays from goal attack Kheresha Peccoo, centre Shavel Martin and wing attack Chloe Blair, St Hugh's juniors pulled off a 20-10 victory before their seniors won 29-11.

On Monday in Zone E, there were mixed results for Norman Manley High in their encounter against hosts Wolmer's Girls. In the first match the home team squeezed out a narrow 22-21 win in their junior game but Norman Manley hit back with an easy 27-16 victory in their senior matchup.

In the rural action yesterday former senior champions Denbigh High scored the biggest win on the day, blowing away Thompson Town HIgh 79-2 in a Zone F encounter.

Teams in Zone C also had some big wins with Maggoty High seniors leading the way with a 36-12 victory over Lacovia High. Black River High had two wins as their juniors stopped Newell High 17-7 before the seniors had an easy 29-8 triumph. St Elizabeth Technical got the other win in the zone as their seniors easily got by by Aberdeen High 33-3.
