Former captain turns coach Nikita Miller could not hold back unflattering adjectives to describe Jamaica Scorpions' poor showing in the regional Super50 Cup.

The dejection was palpable in the voice of Miller, Scorpions' assistant coach, in a telephone interview with STAR Sports on Thursday, when their game against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force ended with a no result.

Scorpions, the defending champions, are yet to record a single win in the tournament, losing all their contests, and, according to Miller, have performed way below par.

Scorpions have picked up just one match point and five bonus points in their six matches, and Miller says the performances have been unacceptable after being crowned champions just last season.

"It has been absolutely disappointing. The performances have been way below par and disgraceful at times. We didn't turn up this season," said Miller.

With the batting failing to spark most contests, Miller was even more livid at their bowling display, which has been their mainstay for many years.

"What disappoints me the most is that we did not put together a decent bowling performance. We are a better bowling unit than a batting unit over the years, and it is hard to see the way we performed this time around," he continued.

Scorpions have been eliminated from the competition, as they are without a chance of making the final four. Miller added that they will still be looking to go out on a high against the Guyana Harpy Eagles on Saturday.

"We have to put what has happened behind us, and we as coaches have to take responsibility and look at what we could have and should have done and try to set things right for the next game and also the next tournament that we will play, which is the regional four-day," he said.
