Should tomorrow's Reggae 6 pass without a single-winning ticket, Sunday's mandatory payout jackpot could soar past $25 million, considering the Saturday-Sunday weekend meet will start with a $6 million carryover and a $5.2 million single-winner bonus.

NINA DORADA is a free banker in the opening event, twice putting $180,000 claimers to the sword in successive races, claimed by familiar connections, who returned the seven-year-old mare to the care of Edward Walker to seal the hat-trick at five and a half furlongs.

Having made the Reggae 6 a 'Reggae 5', be brave and go even further by banking CLOWNING AROUND in the second among older maidens at six and a half furlongs. By far the most consistent, finishing among the top three on five occasions in 14 starts this season, CLOWNING AROUND had most of his six rivals behind in those events.

Scooping the Reggae 6 on the eve of mandatory-payout day is always a smart move, hence don't hesitate to press the 'all button' in the fourth for three-year-old maiden fillies at five furlongs straight.

Approaching the final quarter of the year, the majority of the line-up will start 2025 as maidens and potentials for the claiming ranks. Don't be sucked into attempting to decipher form among the inconsistent lot, more so at five furlongs straight.

In the fourth, stick with speed horses on whom the track bias smiles, GENERAL CHIEF, ADENOSINE, SNEAKY JOE and KING AIR, a tactic which should yield a winner at five furlongs straight in a field of suspect runners.

MANNY SLAM and XYLOPHONIC STEEL should dominate the lead at five and a half furlongs in the fifth, making it tough for a third horse to split them in the rush for the wire.

Close those Reggae 6 bets with similar tactics. HIT N RUN and SIPPIN ON SUNSHINE have both shown ability against better company since winning maiden events. HIT N RUN closed into fourth behind United States-bred stablemate MOTIVATE ME BABY on July 14, the same event from which SIPPIN ON SUNSHINE emerged to prompt the Jamaica Oaks pace to the half-mile marker on August 3.
