"Disappointing!" was the phrase used by Los Perfectos head coach Maurice Duncan after his team fell to a heavy 7-1 defeat to reigning Jamaica Women's Premier League (JWPL) champions Frazsiers Whip in match week three action over the weekend at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.

"I'm very disappointed in the way we showed up and in the way we started. "I think we could have done a lot better." Duncan said in his post-match interview.

With his team 3-1 at the half-time whistle, it was a day to forget for Duncan and his charges as Frazsiers Whip added a further four unanswered goals on their way to three points.

Duncan felt after conceding three in the first half, his team's energy was further sapped by the hot conditions which he felt took a toll on his players after playing under similar conditions last week.

"It was a bit hot and humid. We played at 1 p.m. last week and we played 1 p.m. again today. I'm not finding any excuses but it still takes a toll on the body," he said.

"We came up against a quality team, we expected the different styles of play when they are attacking us so it was up to us to execute and we just didn't."

Duncan said the priority will be to ensure his players are ready for their next game in the JWPL which is a home fixture against Real MoBay AFC.

With their season objective of finishing within the top four, Los Perfectos are hoping to immediately recover from this heavy defeat with a positive result next time around.

"The next game is not against Frazsiers Whip, it will be against another opponent with another style of play so at the end of the day, we just have to go back to the training pitch, refocus and be positive ahead of the next game that we have," Duncan said.

"It is still nearly days so our main objective is to try and be in that top four. It's all about building back that motivation and the quicker we do that, then the better for us."

Los Perfectos currently sit third in the league standings with six points, trailing league leaders Frazsiers Whip, nine, and Cavalier with seven.
