My penis is not straight
Dear Pastor,
I am a 21-year-old man and I have a problem. My penis is crooked. I have a girlfriend.
I tried to have sex with her, but I did not succeed because my penis pains me when I try to straighten it out. My girlfriend is 25 and she told me that she had never seen a man with such a crooked penis. I felt embarrassed. She told me that I should go to the doctor, because we love each other and we would love to have a child after we are married. But if my penis can't go into her, how would that happen? I am really worried.
When I was a boy, I noticed that something was wrong, but the older I got, the worse it has become. I don't have a normal penis, and I wonder why my other brothers don't have this problem. I am very concerned about myself. I have never had sex, but I love my girlfriend and I would like both of us to get married when the time comes.
Please, I ask you to respond to my concerns. Don't ignore my letter. When you answer my letter, I will show my girlfriend what you have said. Thanks in advance.
D.L.
Dear D.L.,
I understand what you are saying, and I do not believe that you are exaggerating.
If your penis did not have a big bend, so to speak, I doubt you would have written to me. I say that because it is not unusual for men to discover that their penises are slightly bent to the right or to the left, but that is not abnormal. From what you have said, you may have what is called Peyromie's disease. You should go to see an urologist for help. Those who suffer from this disease have got help. It is a very unusual type of disease. This disease may get worse if you do not get treatment, so please take this matter in hand. Let your girlfriend know that you have made an appointment to see the urologist.
I do not know how long you have been suffering from this condition, but I want to tell you that you should not fret over the matter. Remember, I say you should not fret. I did not say that you should not be concerned. The urologist, I am sure, can set your heart at ease. I wish you well on this matter. Don't curse yourself, or think that there is no hope for you in fathering a child. You may indeed be able to experience fatherhood.
