Tosh Alexander overwhelmed by Bubble response
It's been less than a week since Tosh Alexander released her latest single, 'Bubble', and already the song has been getting rave reviews.
The singer, who was in New York last Friday for the official launch of the song, said she is overwhelmed by the response the track has been getting and believes it has what it takes to be one of the hottest songs this summer.
"It's been going amazingly well. The feedback has been positive and, overall, everyone is excited about Bubble," she told The WEEKEND STAR. "People have been sending screenshots of them vibing to the song or their purchase of the song on iTunes or Amazon, and it's been getting a lot of Spotify plays from people in the US."
Tosh said the positive responses have not just been from listeners, but from local deejays who have been blasting the songs at weekly dance sessions.
"DJs locally, big up to all of you. Liquid, Elektra, JR, everyone who has given it a spin or two or three. Also to the deejays at Weddy Weddy, Uptown Mondays, Day Rave Thursday and Boasty Tuesday, it's been awesome."
The artiste says she has no expectations for the song and just wants it to bring people joy, especially the women. "I want people to have fun with Bubble, especially the women. The song is all about female empowerment. We do so much as women and we deserve to just cut loose and have fun sometimes, and Bubble is the song that will get you to do that. It's just a fun, dance song that people can vibe to and enjoy."
The track features media personality Miss Kitty and according to Tosh, the effervescent radio talk-show host brought a certain wow factor to the song.
"Miss Kitty was amazing to work with. She brought an energy to the song only she could bring, and I enjoyed working with her. I can't wait to link her when I'm back and we just chat about the song and the amazing response."
The video for the song has already been shot and will be released next week. Tosh Alexander is still in New York promoting the song. She returns to the island on Monday.
