Veteran dancer Labba Labba has apologised to Beenie Man for accusing him of paying to have late dancehall icon Bogle killed.

Bogle would have celebrated his 53rd birthday on Wednesday, which was also Beenie Man's birthday.

While several entertainers and other key industry players were reminiscing on Bogle's immense contribution to dance in Jamaica, others were preoccupied with the rumour that Beenie Man, had the dancer killed back in 2005.

The rumours began circulating again after Labba Labba's video surfaced recently.

The rumours gained so much attention that Beenie had to address them during a television interview last Saturday.

In that interview, he stressed that he has never been implicated in Bogle's death and felt that if he was involved, he would have been charged ages ago.

"You know how police stay inna Jamaica. no entertainer, no artiste is above getting charged with murder or being convicted. Police did their thorough investigations, question who dem fi question and dem never question me. I was never brought to a police station and there was no evidence pointing to say I was involved in that, none at all," he said.

Beenie Man also spoke about Labba Labba rehashing these allegations and expressed that the veteran dancer may even have been paid to do so. "Any man can manipulate Labba Labba and gi him a money fi say this and show him pan a camera doing it. I nah pay Labba Labba no mind," he said. "Me just wah my fans know me nah pay it no mind."

But in another video now circulating on social media, Labba Labba explained that he was intoxicated during the video in which he accused Beenie of murder and said he had no idea he was being recorded.

"Listen people, me did a drink some Hennessy and me drunk and it get to me head, and one idiot man come and start video me. me never know him a put it pan YouTube and me go talk things bout Tristan Palmer and Beenie Man. A lie, me nuh know nothing bout that," he said. "A drunk me drunk and me a beg dem please forgive me. Me apologise to Tristan and Beenie Man ... me nuh know nothing bout dat."
