450 anticipates ‘representing Jamaica’ on England tour

November 03, 2023

Fast-rising dancehall sensation Tristen '450' Escoffery says it's an "honour" to use his musical talent to represent his country on the global scale, as he looks forward to his England tour.

The tour, which kicks off on November 18, will see the artiste performing in cities such as Sheffield, Birmingham, Bristol and London. The Cold Streets artiste stated that tours have always played a great part in his growth as an artiste.

"It has always been a pleasure to witness the influence of my music, and touring has always had a profound effect on me. I am always humbled by the response I receive from fans from different nations and cultures," he said.

A past student of Lennon High School in Clarendon, 450 said he was blessed to start his musical career on a high, with what he believed is his most inspirational hit song, Journey.

"It was composed during a critical period when events shaped me into the artiste you know as 450. In addition, it is the song that has been streamed the most on all digital media platforms," he proudly shared.

Journey, which follows his breakout single Imperfections, has racked up almost 30 million views and more than 160,000 likes on the artiste's YouTube Vevo page.

450, who described his style of music as "melodic and lyrical" said he covers all aspects of life on topical issues, current affairs, songs for the ladies and his everyday emotions. In one of his recent singles, Millions, the artiste highlighted some of his personal encounters in the industry and how he dealt with those experiences.

"I ignore negative criticism and instead focus on progressing, because they provide no worth to my life. A king does not come off his throne to argue with peasants. Constructive criticism is what I will give a listening ear to," 450 emphasised.

"I have no boundaries when it comes to my music. I only aim to become better every day. I, however, will not only be nominated for a Grammy, I hope to one day be a recipient," he said.
