Pritty Di General enthused by podcast mention

US-based dancehall artiste Pritty Di General had always been a big fan of the Joe Budden podcast, so imagine his surprise when his song, Baddest in the Room (remix), was featured in a segment of the show recently.

The mention triggered an immediate boost in the artiste's social media impressions and interactions online.

"The Joe Budden mention definitely boosted the views. I have been getting DMs from a lot of blogs and DJs from all over direct messaging me on Instagram asking for the [song's] dancehall remix," he said. The song was originally released on the UPC Entertainment label, and is set to be a part of an EP set for a summer release.

"There is no video shot for the remix yet because it's not an official remix, but the song is getting airplay on major radio stations in the United States, so I have to give thanks," he said. The artiste gave a major thumbs-up to the Joe Budden podcast.

"I definitely tune in from time to time, and I will binge watch episodes whenever I am free from studio work or touring. So that was a great look seeing them giving major love to the remix," he said. Pritty Di General's babymother also has a child, Budden, so the former rapper is stepfather of the deejay's child.

Pritty Di General has been booked to perform on upcoming events such as Hollywood Carnival, Connecticut West Indian parade, and Fire Sundays in Brooklyn, New York. His releases include Bubble and Siddung, featuring Pamputtae, which went viral online.
