Lady Da Flame inspires with ‘You Can Do It’
Lady Da Flame is continuing a vibrant spree of inspirational music with her new single, You Can Do It.
A source of motivation during difficult times, the single sees the powerhouse vocalist moving minds, bodies and souls.
"My goal is to make feel-good music that stands the test of time, while sending shockwaves of positive vibes to all who listen," said Lady Da Flame. When reflecting on her new track, she said she loves the feeling it gives fans when they hear it.
"The music and lyrics speak so deeply to one another from the moment the song begins. The first horn sets it off," she said. And listeners are tapping into You Can Do It, as popular DJs, selectors and sound systems have endorsed the song. The Reggae Month roll-out of the single made musical sense, as the song fuses the rich sounds of one-drop reggae and sprinkles of ska. Always willing to expand music boundaries, Lady Da Flame is still embracing the buzz of her EDM-driven sizzler, Push. As the creative's blossoming catalogue transcends music genres, her gospel favourite God Answers Prayers has raked in more than one billion streams across digital and streaming platforms.
"I have such a cross-section of musical inspirations," said Lady Da Flame. "Some of my greatest influences include Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill, Beres Hammond, and Lady Saw, to name a few."
She is still revelling in the excitement 0f last year's climactic finale as her customised recording and rendition of Goodness of God was played before a massive international audience at Vybz Kartel's historic Freedom Street event. The songstress, who hits the UK in May for several performances, sees this year as one of progress, doubling down on her beliefs that "positive music can transform weakness into strength and educate generations on the best paths forward".
