Ganja found in baked beans cans
A man, who is accused of trying to export ganja in cans of baked beans, pleaded not guilty when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.
Glendon Walker, a labourer from Spanish Town, St Catherine, pleaded not guilty to ganja possession and taking steps to export ganja.
According to the police, Walker had several cans of baked beans when he arrived at the Norman Manley Airport in Kingston on December 2.
The accused was reportedly behaving suspicious and a search was conducted of his suitcase where one of the cans were opened and vegetable matter resembling ganja was found.
Walker was then arrested and charged by the police.
The accused will appear in court on these charges on February 3.
