Elderly vendors fight in Coronation Market

A vendor from Coronation Market who came to blows with a fellow vendor appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's (RM) Court on Tuesday.
The accused, Marcia Taylor, pleaded guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm.
The 60-year-old woman told the court that the incident occurred because of a misunderstanding.
"I was wetting my stall, water went close to her goods and she thought I did it on purpose," she said.
Taylor denied hitting the complainant.
"Me just push her and she drop back," she explained.
However, Senior RM Judith Pusey did not buy the excuse. "Me a charge you $5,000 fi push her," said Pusey.
