The burnt body of a 32-year-old woman was discovered in bushes in Clarendon yesterday.

Police reported that the woman, known only as Dominique, was found in bushes near the Halse Hall football field, after she was allegedly taken from a dance the previous night by three men.

"We are still trying to ascertain the proper identity, but from our investigation she was called Dominique from a upper Clarendon address," an investigator told The Star. "From our observations, caustic substances may have also been poured on her before or after she was shot dead."

Friends of the deceased woman said they were all at a dance in Halse Hall when she reportedly went outside for fresh air and was taken away.

They said efforts to find her proved futile. However, a daylight search party discovered the body.

"All of us was in the dance last night when Dominique go outside to get fresh air, and the next thing we hear say three man take her away," a friend of the deceased said. "When we hear say them gone with her, we went to look for her, but all we a called her, no answer. But this is how we find her today ... burn up," the friend added.
