October 10, 2018

A Jamaica Defence Force soldier Private Garfield Brown and another co-accused are now at the May Pen Police Station where the soldier has been charged with possession of an illegal gun and the co-accused charged with being in possession of a stolen motor car.

Both accused were held in Swansea, Clarendon, last week.

Investigation being carried out by the May Pen police have so far revealed that the gun in question has been linked to many other crimes.

The motor vehicle in question was also the one that was being driven by Nigel Winter from Old Harbour, whose body was discovered in the Swansea area on September 21.

The co-accused went to court last week and Brown is scheduled to be present in court on October 31.

The car in question belongs to another soldier and is equipped with a motor vehicle tracker.
