Teachers, students and parents seeking to get to the Bowden Hill Primary & Infant School will have to do so via the Airy Castle riverbed. The Education Ministry said it will be providing transportation for the people.

The school was closed on Monday, following the collapse of the Airy Castle bridge. Based on preliminary assessments by the National Works Agency and the Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Authority, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information ordered the school closed to ensure the safety and security of the staff and students.

However, an alternative access route, via the riverbed, has since been identified.
