Four more COVID deaths, 38 new cases

Jamaica on Monday recorded four more COVID-19 deaths, increasing the death tally to 196.

The deceased are:

A 56-year-old female from Kingston and St. Andrew.

A 57-year-old male from Kingston and St. Andrew.

A 29-year-old female from St. Thomas.

A 55-year-old male from St. Mary.

Meanwhile, there were 38 new cases with ages ranging from 2 to 72 years, increasing the total to 8,787 with 4,126 being active.

Of the new cases, 17 are males and 20 are females.

In the meantime, there were 45 more recoveries, increasing the total to 4,347.

Some 115 persons are in hospital with 21 being moderately ill and four critically ill.

No one is in government quarantine, however, 19,922 are at home.
