‘Puss’ charged for shop breaking
A man was charged after a multimillion-dollar robbery at a furniture store in Drax Hall, St Ann, on October 27 last year.
The man, Sutcliffe Davy, otherwise called 'Puss', of Back Street, Salem, St Ann, has been charged with shop breaking and larceny.
Reports are that the complainant securely locked up his place of business and went home. The following morning, when he returned to his business place, he discovered that culprits had gained access, ransacked the store, and stole a safe that contained cash of J$8,000,000, a cheque valued at US$3,480, other cheques valued at J$3,649,879, and 40 cellphones valued at J$820,000.
Police said that Davy, 45, and another man, were seen on CCTV footage removing the items.
He was last week charged following an interview.
