Mechanic charged with murder of paralegal
The police have made a breakthrough in the murder of 63-year-old Sandra Risden, the paralegal who was shot dead along Washington Boulevard in Kingston in January.
The accused has been identified as 30-year-old Ojo Russell otherwise called ‘Jerry Stunts’, a mechanic from Woodpecker Avenue in Kingston 11.
According to the Constant Spring Police, about 7:05 a.m. on January 18, Risden was driving along the roadway, when Russell and another man drove up on a motorcycle and opened gunfire killing her.
An off duty officer pursued the hitmen, when Russell pointed the firearm at him before escaping in the area. He was later arrested and subsequently charged after he was pointed out as the man who shot the now deceased.
He was charged with assault at common law, possession of prohibited and unauthorised possession of ammunition.
He is schedule to appear before the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday, February 13.
