A security officer employed to the Beryllium Group was reportedly shot and killed in an apparent accident at the company's headquarters on South Camp Road in St Andrew.

Sources say he is a Jamaica Defence Force reserve officer.

Head of the  Kingston Central police, Superintendent Berrisford Williams, says they have received reports that the incident was "accidental". More details to come.
