Woman spits in another’s face despite police presence
A Corporate Area woman was remanded in custody until Thursday, following her admission to Senior Parish Judge Lori-Anne Cole-Montaque that she spat in the face of another woman, while in the presence of the police.
"What a disgusting thing to do to another human being. It does not get lower than this," the senior judge said.
It was shared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court that there was brawl in downtown, Kingston and officers tried to quell the dispute. One of the aggressors, Italia Green, continued fighting on the police's service vehicle, even when told to leave the other female alone.
The court heard that Green said, "Me nuh [expletive deleted] business, me done get lock up already," the court heard.
However, the judge was incensed by the revelation.
"The police presence nuh mean nothing to Jamaican people again. A me alone fraid a police?," Cole-Montaque asked.
Green pleaded guilty to two counts of indecent language, resisting arrest, assaulting police, failing to move on, disorderly conduct and common assault. She was also remanded in custody until February 27 when she is to be sentenced.
