A Corporate Area man is hoping to recover more than $100,000 his lover stole from him, while he slept at her home one night last year.

The shocking revelation was made in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday, when the woman, Darceese Brown, indicated to Senior Parish Judge Paula Blake-Powell that she would have the funds available for repayment in a month's time.

The man detailed that Brown first made a withdrawal of $20,000, then made a purchase of $75,000 using his debit card while he slept. He is suffering a loss of $120,000.

"She is the ex-girlfriend of the complainant," the prosecutor said before he was informed by Brown that she is still intimately involved with the complainant.

"Well I won't interfere with what she said. My file says different," the prosecutor said, adding that the complainant is seeking restitution of the funds stolen from his account.

Brown, who did not enter a plea for simple larceny, is to return to court on April 30, with the full sum for restitution.
