Man assaults babymother over Pampers money
A Corporate Area man assaulted his child's mother in the presence of the police after she failed to repay him monies he spent on Pampers.
The allegations were shared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Thursday, where the accused man, Kemar Mitchell, was remanded in custody until March 22. Mitchell, who was not offered bail by the police, was subsequently charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and disorderly conduct, is alleged to have a history of harassing the complainant.
On March 11, Mitchell approached the complainant while she was walking to work, asking for his money he used to purchase Pampers for their child. Mitchell allegedly threatened to kill the complainant, saying words to wit, "Wicked gal me mus kill yuh. Yuh nah see back yuh pickney," and pushed down the complainant in the presence of the police.
The accused also went to their children's daycare and behaved in a boisterous manner, causing the administration to contact the police. He was then taken into custody. - T.T.
