St Catherine cyclist mowed down in Bog Walk

Detectives attached to the St Catherine North Traffic Department have launched an investigation into the death of 63-year-old cyclist along in Bog Walk St Catherine on Sunday. 

The deceased has been identified as Bernard Nelson, a labourer from Shenton District in St Catherine.

It is reported that about 12:30 p.m., Nelson was riding a bicycle along the bypass when he was hit by a 2014 Toyota Corrolla motorcar while attempting to cross the road. 

Both Nelson and the driver suffered physical injuries. They were taken to the Linstead Hospital where Nelson died. The car driver was admitted for treatment.
