Residents from the Terminal Road community in Old Harbour Bay, St Catherine continue to reel with anger over the alleged police killing two tradesmen from the area.

The deceased, Negriah Bailey and Daniel McKenzie, were shot and killed in an alleged shootout with the police on Saturday.

The police claim it was the men who instigated the confrontation, but resident from the area have vehemently denied the accusations.

In protest, they took to the streets to block the main road with debris, including burnt tires and rubbish bins.

Senior Superintendent, Christopher Phillips, responded to community concerns, acknowledging the discovery of additional spent shells by residents who were at the scene.

This prompted a return of investigators and Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) to reassess the scene.

As detectives cordoned off the area for further processing, tensions escalated within the community. Residents took to the streets once more, demanding justice for the slain men.

The conflicting narratives surrounding the incident have ignited widespread controversy, highlighting the strained relationship between law enforcement and the community.
