52-y-o found with crack cocaine in St Mary home

Members of the narcotics police have laid charges against 52-year-old Sophia Ricketts after she was found with crack cocaine in her home in Annotto Bay, St Mary. 

She has been accused of selling the illicit drug in the streets of Annotto Bay and its surrounding areas to persons classified as addicts.

The police said that cocaine weighing 12.5 grams was seized during a raid at the accused's home on Monday. 

According to the police, during the raid they seized 146 pieces of crack cocaine inside her bedroom, which has a estimated street value of $36,000 Jamaican.

Ricketts, who is charged with possession of cocaine and dealing in cocaine, was later released on station bail, and is booked to appear in the St Mary Parish Court on Tuesday, May 21.
