‘Mafia’ charged for stabbing 54-y-o to death

The Half-Way Tree police have arrested and charged Michael Thompson, otherwise called ‘Mafia', after he allegedly stabbed a man to death during a dispute on March 21. 

The deceased has been identified as 54-year-old Carlton Smith from Hunsdene Avenue, Kingston 10. 

It is reported that about 7:00 a.m., a dispute developed between two men. It became physical, and a knife was brought into play and used to inflict a wound to the left side of Smith’s chest.

The injured man collapsed along the roadway and was transported to the hospital by police, who were summoned to the scene. He was pronounced dead. 

Following an investigation, Thompson was apprehended later the same day and place into custody. His court date is being arranged.
