Senior citizen with dementia missing
Alvin Marshall, 76, has been missing since Saturday, May 11, and his loved ones are seeking the public's assistance in locating him.
His son, Gary, said they have not rested well since his disappearance and he is extremely worried as his dad is ailing from a few medical conditions.
"My father has early onset of dementia so maybe he may have wandered off and cannot find his way home. We are really worried and we are asking the public to please just be on the lookout for him. He also has diabetes and hypertension which he takes medication for and he has been without that since Saturday," he said.
Marshall is of dark complexion and has a grey beard. He was last seen at his home in Independence City, Portmore, St Catherine, wearing a grey buttoned down shirt, khaki shorts and a pair of multicoloured slippers.
"I was at home with him and the last time I saw him he was in his room. I went to use the bathroom and when I came back, I realised that he was not in the house. So I went to check the usual places where he would normally go but he wasn't there. There is a nearby plaza where he knows someone and people know him well around that area but no one saw him," Gary said. He said he filed a missing person's report at the Caymanas Police Station on Saturday night.
Gary said that this is the first time his father has gone missing for more than 24 hours.
"This is the first time [he has been gone this long] and we are really worried and just want him back home," he said.
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Alvin Marshall is being asked to contact police emergency 119 or the Caymanas Police Station at 876 988 1719.
