Cops retrieve illegal gun

A team of officers assigned to the Kingston Western Police Division seized an illegal firearm and ammunition during an operation on Charles Street yesterday.

Reports from the Denham Town police are that at 9:10 a.m., lawmen were in the area when they saw a man, who, upon seeing the police, threw an object on the ground and ran. The object was retrieved and a closer examination of it revealed that it was a Canik 9mm pistol with a magazine nine 9mm rounds of ammunition. No one was arrested in relation to this seizure.
